Championships celebrates successful partnership with founding sport triathlon

ECM co-founder and managing director Paul Bristow has presented a gift to Europe Triathlon President Renato Bertrandi as a token of recognition for the sport’s hugely positive contribution to the ongoing organisation of the multi-sport European Championships Munich 2022. 

Bristow attended the Europe Triathlon Annual General Assembly on the first day of Munich 2022 where he thanked President Bertrandi for his vision and belief in committing to the European Championships.

In a speech to delegates, Bristow outlined the European Championships concept, emphasising the vision to elevate triathlon’s top athletes on the European Championships stage by a “must watch, must attend” event. 

President Bertrandi lauded the multi-sport concept and collaboration, with triathlon being one of the founding sports of the European Championships Glasgow/Berlin 2018 alongside athletics, cycling, gymnastics and rowing, with the sport now appearing in the second edition here in Munich alongside eight other Olympic sports.
